More hotel help please - children and breakfast!

Thank you for assistance so far.

I am finding that so many hotel searches, even when declaring 2 adults and 2 children, have in the small print that breakfast is only included for the 2 adults. This is happening even with one and two bedroom apartments.

A lot of people recommend The Park Royal but I am finding a room with breakfast for all four is going to be almost $300!

Assume you mean $$ Aus rather than RM

Try looking on Booking.com.

Not sure when you are travelling but for october a room for 2 ad 2 ch is $156 per night at the Maple suites, $160 per night in Hotel Maya . Tthese are with breakfast. There are apartments and suites without breakfast for around $120 - $160 per night, all scoring over 8/10 on booking.com customer reviews. A 2 bed suite at The ParkRoyal is $220 per night

What date are you travelling?

Did you look at the Park Royals own web site?

I just did a quick search for July for 2AD and 2CH in a deluxe double double room including breakfast 455 MYR per night (plus 16% tax 73MYR), so total 528 MYR per night - aprox 176 AUD.

I can't see any small print on the booking page about how many breakfasts are included though.

But alot people on trip advisor say they have got the best price through Park Royals own website, so might be worth a look there.

We stay at the Swiss garden residences.

Breakfast included for the family.

It was $150 aud for a night.

We had a one bedroom apartment with three kids.

You can try Furama Bukit Bintang Hotel which is located just behind Times Square.

We booked a family room for 4 pax with breakfast included, at ard RM600/night. (~A$188). It comes with 2 rooms (1 queen-sized and 2 single beds) plus 1 TV room.

Quite a nice place and we loved it!

You didnt mention the age of your kids. Its just if they are young, they dont usually eat a lot for breakkie. You could always go to a supermarket and pick up some cereal, yoghurt, milk, fruit, etc for breakfast and eat in your room. If this works for you, then you can just book a room without breakkie.

We stayed in an apartment last year with 5 yr old granddaughter and they wanted to charge us for breakkie for her. We just went elsewhere for breakfast and took the apartment with no breakfast included.

Also email the hotel direct to find out about their breakfast policy. A lot of them give breakfast free, if they are under a certain age.

Thanks for your replies....the reason I was getting the higher rate was I was looking at the Park Royal suites by mistake.

Got a much better rate looking at the hotel direct (correct one this time!) but have decided to book the Impiana - included breakfast for 2 adults and kids are only MYR11

Thanks again - less than 9 weeks to go! Only have four nights in KL but this is the first time with the children and can't wait for them to see what we have planned. (fireflies, monkeys, Kidzania - trying to work out how to fit in Sunway lagoon, petrosains etc etc whilst still allowing shopping time!) Just wish we had longer!
