Hi

Yes you can catch the KLIA Express from KLIA terminal at KUL Airport to the city. The train journey takes 28 mins, plus getting to the station, plus gettting to the hotel, so it will take an hour. This will work if you are arriving with Malaysian Airlines.

If you are flying with Air Asia (which flys into LCCT at the moment and may have moved to KLIA2 by Ausust) the train is not as easy.

However for both, if there is more than 1 of you travelling, then getting a taxi from the taxi counter is actually cheaper [and quicker] than the train!

As questions similar to yours get asked regularly we have set up some Top Questions FAQs in the right panel part of this screen. Everyone forgets that the Top or Frequently Asked Questions/FAQs, are packed with lots of really great information about lots of really useful information!! If you are accessing TA via the smart phone app’ you won't see the FAQs, so suggest that you view it as full site mode or head to a laptop or pc to enjoy the information that has been collected. The Top Questions / FAQs ---> are on the right of all forum pages!

-----> -----> -----> ----->

you will find the Top questions about KUALA LUMPUR and the FAQs which can give a lot of the information you will need to answer your questions [and probably a bit more], in particular ------>>>> FAQ Airport/City cost/options - which does cover ALL the options!!

A taxi is door to door and will take about 40-60 minutes dependant on the traffic. The TAXI counter is clearly marked in the arrivals hall at both KLIA and LCCT terminals at KUL. Tell the assistant where you want to go [hotel] and the type of taxi [budget or premier, or minivan], pay your money [75-90myr budget small compact vehicle, 105-120myr premier larger roomier vehicle or around 200-300 myr minivan, All taxis charge a 50% surcharge on costs from midnight to 6am., get given a voucher, go to the taxi driver, give the voucher to the driver, and they take you to your destination, no additional costs only than a tip which is up to you.

Have fun!

The Westin is probably the best spg hotel in KL until the st regis opens. It is well located in the heart of bukit bintang, and has the famous heavenly bed.

Do make sure to sign up as a spg member prior to coming as their loyalty points are one of the most valuable around. As long as you keep staying in spg properties the points dont expire. You also get the spg floors. Sign up is free on spg.com

They have a decent latino bar at the hotel, and the italian restaurant Pregos is ot bad, but then again, you will be spoilt for choice eating in the area.

I personally like the Lot 10 hutong food court at the basement of Lot10 Mall down the road. It gathers the best of KL hawkers.

A lot like the pavalion mall food court across the street.

20mins walk you bet to hawker street Jalan Alor.

You have chosen a good hotel. Enjoy your stay

Agree, we like the Westin for its location and swimming pool / club room facilities. We tend not to use the in house restaurants. Slap bang near everything!
