You forgot the casino...

All the places are not in the theme park.

Food is expensive? Please elaborate what you mean by expensive. Its a casino, and there are different kinds of food avaliable, including fast food. Do expect slighly higer prices due to distance and captive audience.

You should check out Casino as well, Genting is famous for that. Budget is depending on you, you can choose restaurant. If you go for local restaurant, it won't be that expensive like fancy ones in hotels. You can check out Gohtong Street..plenty of good local food and decent price.

The Chin swee temples are really worth a visit. Take the free shuttle going from outside the Highland Hotel. Check time table upon arrival

The Skyway which you have placed at no.5, should actually be at No.1. This, alongwith the cool weather and Chin Swee are the highlights of genting.

Food is more expensive than what you find at KL - for eg. the burgers at McD/ Burger King are priced higher than KL city, but then you have no choice.

If you're veg - there are some good options at MarryBrown.

And WATER - water bottles are v exp in Genting, so carry your own 2 or 5 litre bottle with you if you wanna save some on that.

If you have kids, the theme parks are absolutely fine for the price you pay.. They're outdated, but then at an entrance price of only about MYR 35, its a great way for kids to spend time.. The more fancy/cleaner/modern/exciting theme parks around the world are also much more expensive!!

Enjoy!

I visited here in December 2012. besides the cable car experience, this place is a waste of good money. Its old, poorly maintained, expensive and looks like 3rd world if you compare it to other theme parks and casinos elsewhere. The strarbeyy farm and chocolate factories are pure tourists traps. Go waste your valuable time elsewhere as KL has many other better attractions to offer!!

haroon has missed the point altogether.

the price u pay for theme parks around the world are 7-8 times higher than what u pay at genting.

if u want a basic theme park, genting is fine for the PRICE

if u want something great, then head to other parks where the price is much much higher.

It's as simple as that..
