There is a new train from KL Sentral to the LCCT. The price is 12.50 MYR. The website is even giving away free tickets. I got one last week for October 7. Check this website and go right to the bottom.

Hi Everyone,

The train is not a direct link from LCCT to KL Sentral. It is a bus link from LCCT to the Salak Tinggi train station and then the train from there to KL Sentral. The total price of the bus/train fair one way is MYR15.

There is not train from LCCT to KL Sentral. You haved to get a bus to a station on the slow KLIA transit train!

The direct train is a myth!

I just went back and read the schedule and it takes 50 minutes from KL Sentral to LCCT. I believe it is over 70 kilometers so thre must be some fast buses.

AS said earlier there is no train direct to the LCCT. You have to get a bus from LCCT to Salak Tinggi Transit Railway station, a distance of around 18KM and then the KLIA Transit Train to KL Sentral which stops 2 or 3 times. Train takes about 20 minutes. Whole trip about 35 minutes.

Hi

Quote from the KLIA Express website

<< Enjoy a smooth and stress-free connection to and from LCCT!

The ‘KLIA Transit to LCCT’ service offers you the added convenience of a connecting shuttle transfer to and from the LCCT. Just relax as you enjoy a high-speed train ride to the Salak Tinggi station, where our air-conditioned shuttle fleet awaits to whisk you directly to LCCT. Passengers arriving at LCCT can also enjoy this service as the KLIA Transit train is now just a shuttle ride away. There will also be porter assistance at the Salak Tinggi station to help with your luggage transfer between train and shuttle. >>

The schedule shows a transit time of nearly 60mins!

This route is useful mainly for people who want to avoid the peak period jams getting to/from the LCCT.

For example, if you are staying say in Petaling Jaya, and you have a flight to catch that leaves at 9pm. This means you have to check-in at 7pm. The trip to the LCCT takes about 50mins without jams. Thus you leave at about 6pm. But you can't leave at 6pm as the federal highway is gridlocked both sides at this time, espeically if it rains. So you end up leaving at 5pm to take a 9pm flight.

However, if you have access to a LRT/monorail station, you then can get to KL Sentral easily, and get the high speed train service to Salak Tinggi and get a bus out to the LCCT. This gives some certainty in your departure time, without adding an unknown factor for traffic jams.
