Take tram line 2 or 6 to Genbaku-Domu mae station. The ride takes 15 minutes and costs 150 yen. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3400.html

I have walked it before, but it's a very long walk, and then when you get there you will be on your feet for a few hours touring the exhibits. Tram is excellent price, taxi would cost about 1,000 yen and take just about the same time as the tram.

Tokyo to Hiroshima is 18,550 yen on the Bullet train with a reserved seat or 17,540 yen non-reserved. This is a good link to figure our train routes and fares:
