Sapporo to Mitsui Outlet Mall

I am thinking of making a trip down to the Mitsui Outlet Mall in Sapporo and would need some advice.

1. Is it worth going there for shopping?

2. There is a direct bus from Sapporo station to the outlet mall during weekend. Does anyone know how much is the cost per trip and the timetable of the bus?

3. Is there also a direct bus from Mitsui outlet mall back to Sapporo during the weekend? Is there a timetable for the bus?

Cheers!!!

Read from one of the posting that Gotemba Premium Outlet Mall is worth going for. How about Mitsui Outlet Park at Sapporo? Would we be able to see a variety of Burberry Blue goods there?

On weekends and public holidays, there is a direct 300 yen 50 min bus from Sapporo JR station to Mitsui Outlet Park. Bus leaves Sapporo JR station on the hour from 9.00 to 16.00. Returning bus leaves Mitsui Outlet on the hour from noon to 19.00. If you make a single purchase of more than 3000 yen, you can ride for free for the returning bus.

A friend from Hong Kong says that price for the international brands of Burberry, Coach or Polo are more or less the same as what she gets in Hong Kong. Her suggestion is to go for the Japanese brands which have a significant discount at the outlet.

Outlets are outlets. They are pretty much quite similar no matter which one you go to, meaning you will get decent prices if you are willing to put up with limited selection, styles, and possibly some damaged merchandise. Otherwise, prices for the good stuff usually aren't any better than the stores in-town.
