I see frequent questions about transportation from the airport to the city. There's plenty of information available on line in English about the main shuttle bus system, including route maps.
But there is another bus company that also provides bus transportation from the airport to the city, and very little information exists about it in English. Furthermore, what little information that exists, even in Chinese, is out of date, because they have added several new routes recently and rearranged the stops on some others.
These alternate busses are the 919 busses. They cost 13 Yuan instead of the 25 Yuan that the main shuttle system charges. Most of them run every 30 minutes. Their start and stop time differs according to the route, the more popular routes having longer operating hours.
These 919 busses load all the way to the right as you exit the arrivals hall, near the domestic end. These busses are white with blue lettering, whereas the main shuttle system busses are mostly colored gold.
These busses started running in April of 2013, with only a couple of lines. They have gradually added lines until now they have 10 lines. (The standard shuttle system has 6 lines.)
They are a less "foreigner-friendly" option, but they do provide an alternative worth checking out if you need to take a bus for financial reasons and the main shuttle system doesn't go to your destination.
Walk to the kiosk selling these 919 route tickets in their loading area (all the way to the right) and there's a route map on the wall. They mainly cater to Chinese passengers and the attendants probably don't speak English.
Maybe over time, the service will become more bilingual and accessible to foreigners.
