Anyone knows if there are Any big supermarkets in guangzhou near panyu? I want to get baking products, mostly American brands. I can't even find pancake mix. Also, anyone knows where to get great Oreo cheesecake near by? :)

The streets you mention are clothes streets, for local people. You need to find a highly specialised shop like Metro. You may find pancake mix in Carrefour or JusCo but surely you can make your own pancake mix, unless you need commercial quantities!!

Take a taxi at Yifa Street to Trust Market is about 15 -20 Yuan .

in Panyu ,there are some tourst attrecation , like Baomo Garden , Lotus Hill (lianhua shan) Xiangjiang Safari Park, Chimelong Paradise

about baomo garden ,just take Number 12 bus in Panyu, , will stop at the end of the station Baomo Garden Bus Station .

If you want to buy stuff like pancake mix then I assume that you live there in which case you should get a map and figure out the city.

Supermarkets are absolutely everywhere. Just ask the hotel doorman for the nearest one.

There are bank counters in the airport, both arrival and departure areas. If your flight arrives late, or if flight is delayed, they are usually closed. So, be sure to have at least some small amount of 200-300 RMB yuan on you (100RMB for taxi just in case). Rate in CAN airport is usually okay, rate in your home airport is always worse, but best to just buy 200-300 RMB as your safety money.

I once arrived in CAN from Tokyo about 10PM, all banks were closed when I came out and I had zero RMB, I could not even take the bus (20 yuan). I ran all over the airport in sweat for 30 minutes but could not find open bank counter. I was stucked and helpless. Eventually I exchanged US$20 with a street vendor at a very bad rate, but I was happy, because nobody else wanted to exchange money.

Phone sim cards are sold in many street stands, like magazine or cigarette stands. 50 yuan or 100 yuan cards. In my case, I add 100 yuan once a year. Vendor will load the fund into your phone for you. I did not see any sign, but just show your phone and ask, one by one, most do, and this is something you can do without speaking Chinese. Sometimes they asked me to pick a lucky number, some # are double or triple prices, I did not see any need for it myself.

Easier than phone stores or carrier stores, most of them actually do not sell sim cards. I do not know about inside CAN aiport.
