The Chimelong park can be reached by Guangzhou's metro Line 3 from the city centre. It takes about 30 min from Tian He district, say from the Ti Yu Xi Lu station (also on Line 3). The station for Chimelong park is "汉溪长隆" (Han-Xi Chang-Long). The Metro's map: http://www.gzmtr.com/images/line_map_big.gif

There are buses going there too though but unless you speak/read Chinese otherwise I wouldn't recommend taking the bus.

There are packages, usually including the admission tickets and 1 night accomodation at their alledgedly 6 star hotel. You can look for the packages with any local travel agencies.

Just some rough ideas of the prices for your bargain shopping:

Chimelong Water Park: officially RMB 128, I've seen RMB 98;

Chimelong Paradise: officially RMB 170, I've seen RMB 145;

Chimelong Circus: officially RMB 150, I've seen RMb 120;

Chimelong Zoo: officially RMB 150, I've seen RMB 120.

Hope this helps.

Don't miss any of them.

On a recent tour we were only allowed 2 hours in the animal park.Look for the sign inside the gate indicating what time the animal shows are on.We went to the lion show -it was the highlight. The dancing/boxing bear show is not very politically correct these days. The Pandas are definitely a must do but the Panda show is a dress up Chinese opera.

The circus is truly amazing.

The story and photos of out trip are on our website.

Hope ypu enjoy China as much as we did.

Hi

Thanks for your comments

The package was from in Australia for AU $3000 each with taxes etc

http://www.macleayvalleytravel.com/

But I see they are not advertising the same trip again.

I have sent them the URL, you may ask them why but I think it is because everyone wants to go to the great wall and terracoto soldiers. It becomes expensive because there is is so much travel involved to get there.

You could have a great experience of China by just going to Shenzen and Guangzou,
