help finding accommodation in Foshan guangzhou

Hi,

I'm an english teacher from London who is looking for accommodation in this area next month (july 2007).

Can anyone offer any suggestions? I have a chinese partner and will be teaching in Guangzhou soon.

What's Guangzhou like?

Thanks

David

Foshan or Guangzhou? These two places are close to each other but they're not the same place.

Similar question - Foshan or Guangzhou? GZ is a huge sprawling (typical Chinese) city - capital of GD province. Lots to do in your spare time if you are working; but only worth a couple of days for a tourist. Foshan is a much smaller town, about 30-40 minutes away - centre of a very old pottery/china industry. The ancient kilns (which they claim haven't gone out in 500 years, but looked awfully "out" when we visited) are interesting as is the hideous (and quaint pottery on sale in the surrounding streets.

We stayed in the hotel above the bus station - just walked in off the bus & it was clean & cheap (about 140 a night iirc)
