We are also travelling on a Grand Cicle Tour Cruise from St. Petersburg to Moscow on theM/S Rossia from June 28 to July 13.

We are searching for other people on this tour who might be interested in taking very interesting walking tours about the Communist Legacy and the WW2 siege of Leningrad.

Peter's Walking Tours are very highly rated and were recommended in the NY Times.

"Hi Paul,

Once again, we'd be happy to arrange the tours for you. You said you have

the afternoon of July 1, and the whole day on July 2, is that correct?

Here's what we could do:

Afternoon of July 1, Sunday

Siege of Leningrad Tour

This tour can be done in 5 to 6 hours, depending on how much we decide to

include, and on the depth of your interest in the subject. The tour will

cost 4000 rubles, plus public transport expenses.

July 2, Monday

A tour covering the subject of the Revolution (Red October) and the

Communist history of the city. Again, depending on the time available, it

could be done as a digest of the two themes (around 5 hours, 4000 rubles),

or two separate tours, before and after lunch. In the latter case, each of

the two tours will cost 3200 rubles. Once again, public transport fares

are not included in the price.

Prices are valid for a small group (up to eight persons), so please feel

free to bring people along. That said, we would like to know in advance

how many people are coming.

For all private tours, our guides pick you up at your hotel. We'll get

back to you with the guides' details about a week before the tour dates.

Besides the actual Siege of Leningrad or the Red October topics, these

tours will help you get a better idea of how this city lives today -

something you mentioned in the long posting attached to your original

inquiry. We'll be using public transport (metro, buses), seeing different

parts of town and discussing a multitude of subjects.

Please let us know if you would like to book the tours, and suggest a

meeting time for each tour.
