1 day in Moscow

Hi, My friend and husband are passing through Moscow on their way back from St Petersburgh, they have one whole day in Moscow. I told her they couldn't stay a whole day in the airport, can anyone give an idea of what they could do, catch a taxi to where for a bit of an outing.

Hello wrightaway,

They could go to the "heart" of the city and the entire Russia - The Red Square of course. Beautiful place, lots of history, world famous cathedrals, unique architecture, some good restaurants in the area where they could have a meal. It's about an hour drive from most major airports when there is no traffic (could be 3 hours with traffic though). They also could get underground and explore the metro as well - Moscow metro is a unique place as well.

Hi, wrightaway,

the idea to visit the Red Square is good.

Questions:

1. to what airport they arrive and from what airport they depart?

2. how many hours they have between flights?

3. do they have a lot of luggage and what are they planning to do with it?

4. have they ever been to Moscow and what are their interests?
