Everything that I heard about the Puno strike and associated demostrations make me worry if it is worth risking coming to Puno , unable to come and certainly leave. Somebody said that all the roads to/from city are blocked and no taxis.
These strike & demonstration news sound bad for someome like us planning to be in Puno in 7 days. We have already a LAN flight booked to Juliaca from Cusco (I think I can not cancel it). We planned to stay in Puno 2 nights and do a day boat trip. After two nights we have a car that will take us to Colca.
What should we do? I already contacted our Puno sightseeing vendor and our hotel. I am not sure I can trust them because they do not have any interest to tell me to skip Puno.
Juliaca airport taxi to Puno - are they working? How much?
If you know the situation in Puno, please comment.
