should we stay in Marakesh or at the beach? Thought maybe beach with day trip to Marakesh?

No one can really answer that question for you, as it's a total opinion-call.

I would say that Marrakech would be a lot more interesting and culturally enriching than the beach, but it all comes down to what YOU are into, really.

Hi,

It depends on how long you are here for. Splitting your holiday between the two gives you two very different experiences. Just a point though is that if you start in Marrakech and time allowing you could also have a day trip to the Atlas mountains. Finishing your holiday in Essaouira lets you relax after the excitement of Marrakech!

Hi,

yes no one can answer you because the people go to Marrakech for to explore city and surrounding, to learn a culture and so, then maybe they go to Essaouira to visit this nice genuine city, but not that you can in one day go from Marrakech to Essaouira, take a bath and go back to Marrakech.
