If you are staying at Prince Maurice you will be confined to the hotel as its isolated and evening entertainment in the 5* hotels tends to be quite low key.

Even with a car or if you get a taxi your nearest nightclubs and bars are in Grand Baie which is quite a drive, especially at night.

Donwload PM's factsheet from their website if you havent already done so. It should give you an idea of what they have going off in the evenings, or should you have a specific query you can email them using the contact address from there.

I believe there is a casino in Flacq which is nearest large town to the Prince Maurice. After that you are looking at Grand Baie and Port Louis at the other side of the island.

You are looking at a maybe one and a half to one and three quarter hour drive if you go via the coastal route and on towards Goodlands and the motorway and down to Port Louis.

Quite a trip for a night out - most of us are not looking for too much, generally it's in-hotel and quite low key.
