The Sands - May/June

Hi

I was hoping someone may be able to help. We are staying at the Sands resort for 11 nights at the end of May and have a few questions:

1) As we are putting the hotel and flights together ourselves, we will need transfers and I was wondering how much a taxi should cost from the airport to Flic en Flac.

2) Are drinks expensive at the Hotel, and are there shops nearby to buy our own?

3) In terms of currency, what is the best to use? Should we bring sterling and change it at the airport to rupees, or dollars?

Thanks very much in advance

Katherine

Taxi will cost you about Rs. 2400 for the transfer.

There is Flic en Flac shopping center on your way to The Sands, where you have Spar, restaurants and other shops.

Pounds is going for 52.26, and USD for 26.65, you chose what's easier.

Katherine bring sterling and change into rupees at arrivals. No charges.
