Diving off Bandos and Tipping

Have dived off many islands in the Maldives - superb. Unfortunately I now have trouble with my pelvis and have been told not to carry heavy weights - I would still be able to dive - what I'm worried about is whether on your try out dive to get used to your equipment you have to walk across half the island to the reef which I wouldn't be able to do. Would I be able therefore to put equipment on near the reef, are the dive staff sympathetic or would they stop me diving (I have done over 200 dives).

We are going B&B, do we tip every day in the restaurants, or at the end, also what is going rate for bar staff, room boys, etc?

It is only a short walk from the dive centre to the water about 200 meters mainly on sand.

As all meals are charged to the room a 10% service charge is then added. You can tip on top of that if you want.
