driving

Hi just wondering if an international license is required in

Kuching, Kota Kinabalu or Kuala Lumper. Not actually planning on hiring a car as probably use local transport. But just thought if we wanted to go a bit further afield if we did hire a car (not sure if this is easy) what license is required. Thanks for any answers

Bus travel is ok on Malaysian Borneo, if you dont mind being forcred to listen to karaoke or watch violent movies for the entire journey, along with some smelly toilets.

Ok, its not always like this - but its also not the rosy journey that some others may portray it as.
