Bako National Park Questions

Hi! I'm heading to Kuching next weekend and staying at the Hilton. We'd like to spend Saturday at the park. Will it be easy to arrange transport there from the Hilton? Should we hire a guide or will we be OK on our own? Is there enough to see there for a full day? And finally, should we bring food with us or are there any places to buy food there?

Thanks for any help offered!!

No mossy net.

You can buy mossy nets (kelambu in Malay) at a shop call Saveway Trading Co. in No. 38 Gambier St. Kuching, a stones throw away from Power St. taxi terminal. RM19.90 only.

I have not had problems with mossies or sand flies - but do tend to use repellent and cover up in the evening.

Don't forget some 'cup hooks' so you can fix nets above the beds.

Rain or shine, the trail will be wet.

Difference is wet or very wet.

Be careful, have the right 'kit' and ......
