honeymoon help

Hi,

We are stuck between Pangkor Laut and Tanjong Jara in Malaysia as the luxury part of our honeymoon. Which is best? Which is cheapest and what do they include? As much help as anyone can offer. We want something that feels a bit special too. And we're going this New Year / early Jan, so will the weather be ok??

Thanks.

Hi garycol, since your proposed travelling date will be in early Jan, Pangkor Laut Resort is your better option; as where Tanjung Jara is located, i.e. at the East Coast of Malaysia, it is the monsoon season.

I agree with mkiara travel. Definitely avoid Tanjong Jara in January. It is absolutely the wrong time of year to go there. The dive centre and watersports are closed from Oct to march so that gives you an idea of how bad it gets in the monsoon season.

Garycol, definately pangkor laut resort, not only for the weather aspect, but because it is the better of the two resorts (tanjong jara is the sister resort to pangkor laut) and has the most fantastic spa!

We had our honeymoon on pangkor laut in 2003 and have lots of great memories from our stay there - always looking at the photo album, and wishing we could be there again!

Hope you enjoy whichever one you have booked, and have a fantastic, special honeymoon.
