Pangkor Laut - Help pls

Hi,

I'm going to Pangkor Laut next March 2008 for my honeymoon & wanted to know if someone could help with a couple of questions...

1) what's the weather like in March?

2) Some restaurants seem to require a dress code? how strict is that & what is the dress code?

3) where can we pick up snacks like crisps etc as I heard there is nowhere on the island to do that...

thanks,

Ellie

Hi, in respect of your queries:-

1). Hope you are aware that over here with the tropical climate, our temperatures hovers between 26 deg. C - 32 deg. C. When the heat builds up, it evaporates and mixes with the atmosphere, which results in downpour/thunderstorms, of which it may last for a short while or few hours, which provides respite from the heat. Depending on duration of this, the day could be overcast; having said so, for the month of March, based on historical pattern, weather over at the western coast of Malaysia, will see more sunny days;as such trusting your visit will coincide with the more sunny days.

2). Pangkor Laut Resort is positioned as a high end luxury island resort, and guests are expected to dress appropriately when dining. You will not go wrong with a long pants and polo shirt, and to make it more presentable, complement your look with your light weight jacket, which am sure you will be taking with you. Casual attire is most appropriate.

3). if you are arriving via Lumut town, then there are shops fronting the jetty, where you take the water taxi and also register at PLR office in Lumut town. If flying with Berjaya Air from Subang, suggest getting your snacks at supermarket or petrol kiosks along the way(if you are doing an immediate transfer, and will not be in KL city).

You may wish to pack an insect repellent, to apply on,when going on PLR conducted nature trail. And of course , not forgetting your favourite sun protection cream.

Have a nice time in PLR.
