From Cameron, you can use the new Lojing road to get to Gua Musang enroute Merapoh, one of Taman Negara's gateway.

Bonjour Olivier,

There are a few travel agencies along the main road at Tanah Rata that offers land transfer from CH to Taman Negara via Gua Musang.

There are 2 new options to get from Taman Negera to Cameron Highlands.

A) Minibus from CH (8.00am)- Gua Musang (lunch stop) - Jerantut - Kuala Tahan (arriving about 4.00pm)

B) Cameron Highlands - Gua Musang (lunch stop) - Boat (9.00am) from Kuala Tembeling to Kuala Tahan (arriving about 4.30pm)

Contact NKS Hotel & Travel Sdn Bhd (+609-2601777) http://www.malaysia-tourism-nks.com/bus_shuttle_ch.htm in Jerantut or Kuala Tahan or Cameron Secrets Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd (+605-4912888) for more information.

What are your options? Will you be landing in KL and taking off and how many days will you plan for the entire trip?

Hi Olivier,

Are you taking a Singapore Airlines flight to Singapore from Kloten? Here are some suggestions, in case you haven't booked you flight yet:"

First few days in Singapur is OK. You can relax, take a walk along botanical gardens, the zoo and marina bay. The last times I flew to Asia, I took a flight from Singapore Airlines and they offered me Zurich - Singapur - Kuala Lumpur - Singapur - Zurich for the same price as a Zurich - Singapur - Zurich ticket (both CHF 880 inclusive taxes). Stopover in Singapur.

Berjaya Air also flies from Singapur to Tioman island. http://berjaya-air.com/flightschedule.htm.

You could also take a bus to Tioman from singapore's golden mile complex, but the journey takes very long.

From Tioman, take a ferry back to Mersing mainland and you will find plenty of busses and taxis willing to go north. From Mersing, take a transnational bus to JERANTUT via Kuantan. The Journey take 5 hours. You need to get to Kuala Tembeling (14km from Jerantut) to take the boat into taman negara. You can take a cab from the jerantut bus station to Kuala Tembeling Jetty.

After Taman Negara, you can go back to Jerantut and take a bus to Kuala Terengganu Via KUANTAN. The journey take 7 hour all together.

From Kuala Terengganu: Shahbandar jetty is in downtown KT and located within walking distance from the Tanjung coach station - from the coach station facing the main road, head right down the road along the coast for about 100 metres. Shahbandar jetty is located opposite the general post office.

Take the next ferry to Pulau Redang, the journey is about one hour plus. http://redang.org/transport.htm

When you return to Kuala Terengganu, you can take a bus to Penang. via KOTA BAHRU (KT - Kota Bahru is 3 hours, Kota Bahru to penang is 8:30 hours via the East-West highway) if you take transnational again. You will arrive at the Nibong Tebal bus station in penang island and you can take a cab to your hotel from there.

From Penang onwards, take a bus to Ipoh. There are plenty of busses going to Ipoh, but you can take Transnational from Nibong Tebal to Ipoh. Journey takes 4 hours. From Ipoh (ask them to drop you off at Medan GOPENG station, or else they won't stop until you get into town), take a bus up to cameron Highlands. http://www.cameronhighlands.com/Destination_Guide/Getting_Here/bus_schedule/

Zurich - 11.5 hours Singapur - 1 hour Tioman (by Berjaya Air) - 1 hour (Mersing (mainland) - 5 hours (Jerantut - Kuala Tembeling) - 1 hour Taman negara - (Jerantut - Kuantan - Kuala Terengganu ) 7 hours - 1 hour Redang - (KT - Kota Bahru) - 11.5 hours Penang - 3.5 hours (Ipoh) - 2 hours Cameron Highlands - 2 hours (ipoh) - 4 hours KL - 5 hours Singapur - 11.5 hour Zurich

You will going from Tioman to Taman Negara and then to KT to Redang. The journey from Taman Negara to Kuala Terengganu takes 8 hours. You can be in Redang in another one hour. If you want to stay somewhere for the night in KT before taking the ferry to Redang, you can take a look here. http://www.pinganchorage.com.my/hotel_reservation.htm#terengganu

The Primula Beach Resort and Heritage Bay are the nicest hotels in town.

I do know that the Laguna Redang Island Resort is very popular with most tourists, but if you want to be Leonardo di Caprio in The Beach, you might want to check the smaller huts out, but you might have difficulty finding food and entertainment at night. You can take a look here:
