Can anyone advice if resturants, tea plantations, strawberry farms, Brinchang night market is open during the 1st and 2nd day of Chinese New Year? Planning to spend the CNY 2011 there but don't want to ended nothing to eat and no place to visit.

Anytime there is a public holiday, hordes of domestic tourists descend upon the highlands. Having to contend with traffic jams in the highlands is not really most peoples idea of a pleasant holiday. Avoid CH during public holidays especially during CNY.

Agreed. Avoid CH during holidays. Not only the traffic jam; food prices will be tripled (or thereabout)!
