Advice please for hubby

My husband is working in KL and has decided to have a weekend away at Easter. As the flight is only 45 mins? He's decided on Langkawi. He has kindly left the hotel booking up to me! For all you regulars out there would you mind advising what part of the island I am best concentrating on

He's not a big beach dweller but loves the sea/scenery. He loves fishing or wildlife. He likes a nice cool beer and enjoys authentic food. He is a young 50 yr old but would not want anywhere too late and loud.

Many thanks. Fiona

Hi

Take a look at Berjaya it ticks most of the boxes that your husband wants. Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife around at this resort and lots of chance for a nice beer and good food.

The bars at the resort are open until 1.00 am but usually most of the guests have gone to bed by then, so it is definitely not a party hotel at all

Not sure of what sort of budget you are looking at but you could make a start by looking under the tab for the hotels and get some idea of what else is on offer. Make a list and come back for further details.

Hi

Do remember that it is LIMA from 26-30 March & the island will be very, very busy so your hotel choice will be restricted.

Hope that you manage to find somewhere

Better check accommodation first to avoid any disappointment.

Hi

LIMA is Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace exhibition. The island is extremely busy at this time and hotels are usually booked up well in advance. This year LIMA also coincides with Easter too.

Good luck with your search.

Definately better not go, he'd probably come back with a boat! Thanks for the info.

Has anyone any experience in the Tioman Islands? Ill post on their forum as well, he could possibly do some fishing over there.

Thanks again. Fiona

How about Pangkor? 40 min flight from KL ( Berjaya Air from Subang airport) or couple of hours on bus and short ferry hop.
