In Tanjung Rhu Resort, you can eat in all Restaurants there and room service too minus the alcohol beverages.
Not much of eatery nearby here if you wanna go B & B.
the Tanjung Rhu is for sure beautiful and has one of the very best beaches and views on the island. And they will be renovated when you come. But it is really remote. The "hotspot" is on the other side of the island about 40 min. to drive (taxi costs about 70 RM)
If you do want exactely that, you should indeed go for the all inclusive option!!!
Have stayed there on the AI basis. All food and non-alcholic drinks, as much as you want, at all restaurants, includes room service, all bars, poolside service etc etc. Worked really well for us. It is not like AI in Caribbean where you have to pay for some restaurants. The only extras you pay for will be the alchol!
You have to book your restaurant every night regardless of where you are eating. If you want to book 'the Rhu' you do have to do so really early, 6am I started ringing. The other restaurants are not a problem for reservations. Actually we actually preferred the Sands (the buffet restaurant).
There is nothing near the hotel. You can not decide to go for a short walk and enjoy a restaurant or other eatery if you want. The only option would be to walk along the wonderful beach before and after you meal.
We found the AI board suited us during our stay there.
Wonderful hotel, fabulous location.
Hi, my husband and I have just returned from Tanjung Rhu and would certainly recommend the AI package. You can order anything from all food and drink outlets including mini bar in room and room service.(excluding alcohol)During our stay The Rhu and Saffron had to be booked for evening meals and you could only do this from 11am each morning. The Sands wasn't Buffet style while we were there, there was an extensive menu of Asian style food. Maybe things change depending on the season and how busy the hotel is? Enjoy your stay we certainly did!
