Haze in Malaysia

We have been reading not so good reports on the air quality etc in KL and surrounding areas due to the fires in Sumatra - has anyone been in the past few weeks that can tell me what things are like. My partner does not have full lung capacity and I am concerned. Thanks

Hi kendal

i only got back two weeks ago, and yes the haze was bad from the fires, alot of people were wearing masks, but actually it didn't bother us too much we still walked around KL. But as for your partner they may struggle. Some days it was quite clear.

It's allready quite ok.

Here on Langkawi we had it for about 2 days, but know everything is fine.

And again we can breath properly on this Island. Which was the reason why I moved here. Fresh Oxygen.

Just returned from 3 days in KL on 20th Aug and it was clear, just the usual bit of haze you get in KL but no residual smoke haze, in fact we were surprised how quickly it had cleared considering how bad it had been. Hope this is of help.

KL is now clear - almost back to normal.
