I have used AirBnB in several locations, but as with any property you need to do your research. There is no single answer as each property is different.

AirBnb is just a booking agent of accommodation providers so the experience of their customers will depend on the particular property where will they stay. Staying with a hotel will provide many amenities and services which many AirBnb accommodations can't like room service, 24-hour reception desk, concierge, swimming pool, daily housekeeping etc.

My personal opinion is using Airbnb in case hotel is too expensive such as Tokyo, Osaka etc.

JB hotel is cheaper compare other place, look for hotel is easier and safer.

You will have more personal space such as living hall, dining area, as well as kitchen if you want to do some cooking. Much preferred by those who want to have a short term stay. It would be great to have condominium facilities such as swimming pool,BBQ area, gym if you choose a condominium host. You also will have 24 security for this type of unit and free parking too.
