3 months rent in Okinawa : where, how?

Hello everyone,

I plan to spend the next winter in Okinawa and, instead of staying at a costly hotel, I would like to find some short-term accommodation like weekly-mansions or furnished apartments.

Anyone knows where to search?

Thanks ! :)

Sleidia,

There are short-term stays in apartments that are rented by real estate angencies, but everything is usually in Japanese. Also, you will want to see what you are renting before making any commitments. You should arrive in Naha, find a cheap guesthouse, which will cost about 1,000 yen (U.S. $9) and then get to know the island so you can decide where you want to live...etc. In Naha there is a good bar for information on Kokusai Street called Paul and Mike's Place. It gets a lot of gaijin, tourists, and locals who can help point you in the right direction. Good Luck!
