Time to transfer flights....

May book a flight w/ United/ ANA to Tokyo and BKK. One option allows for ANA and United, but only a little over two hours to change. Another option n w ANA gives just the legal minimum of 45 minutes. Do both carriers arrive n depart in the same terminal for international flights? ? It would be BKK to NRT w ANA then NRT to LAX. Please advise. This is for the return portion. No probs w/ outbound since I will stop 3 days in Tokyo.

Both UA and ANA use Terminal 1 south wing, so if your incoming flight is on time, you should be able to catch the connecting flight without issues. However, if the first flight is delayed even for 30 minutes, you'll miss the flight to LAX and have to wait until the next day since UA/ANA operates NRT to LAX only one flight/day.

I'd go with a 2 hour layover.

Thanks. Its either the 2 hour layover or an over night stay. Anything can cause the first flight to delay or land late. Much thanks.
