Walk from Asia Centre of Japan to Ritz-Carlton Tokyo hotel

We need to walk from Asia Centre of Japan (8-10-32 Akasaka Minato-ku Tokyo) to Ritz-Carlton Tokyo (9-7-5 Akasaka, Tokyo) to join the 1 day Mt Fuji/Hakone tour 8am in the morning on 29 Dec 2008. From the map it looks like a 10 minute walk. Can someone give me a direction please. None of the 4 of us can speak/read Japanese. Thanks

Because Japanese roads bear mostly no name, it probably better to take a taxi. It will take you in less than 5 minutes for the mimimum charge (about US$8.00) for four people, unless your party has members with gigantic size.

Ritz is less 10 minutes walk from the place and they are on same big street. I have found Asia center (we call it Asia Kaikan) on Google map. so you can put this address "東京都港区赤坂8-10-32". change numbers only if you want to find a place for Ritz.

from Asia center, turn left to Gaien-Higashi street then walk down to left(toward south)on the street. Ritz is in the Tokyo midtown complex just avobe Roppoingi station. No need to take a taxi at all. No worry about reading Japanese since street sign board has been writen by English as well (even it is small printing).

Route map: http://tinyurl.com/6y39oc

S: Asia Center

G: Ritz Carlton

The distance is 1 km.

You can enter the premises of Ritz Carlton (Tokyo Midtwon) from the main street (Gaien East Street).

Oh yeah, just walk, its so close.

Once you walk past Sanno Hospital you can't miss it. The RC is one of Tokyo's tallest buildings located in the newest mixed use mega development.

Thanks Yully. Sony Building is also very close to our hotel, Asia Centre of Japan. Can you let us know how to walk there or should we take subway? Thanks.

Sony Building in Ginza is too far to walk from your hotel. Take subway Ginza Line at Aoyama-Ichome to Ginza Station and go out of Exit B9. This exit is directly connected to Sony Building.

Just to be on the safe side, I'd suggest printing maps (in both English and Japanese) showing the location of both those hotels. In case you get lost, you can show someone the map and they will point you in the right direction. You can often find these locator maps on the hotel's website. Also, if the hotel is listed on the Rakuten Travel website, Rakuten has great maps attached to all its hotel listings.
