Planing to go to Nikko at January 2013..What is the radiation level and do you think having rotenburo is safety...

Actually a bit of radiation is good for your health. Radon onsen baths aren't so rare in Japan and they aren't considered dangerous to your health.

Yes, you are totally right. If there was a concern about it they would be shut down for sure.I did not think in this way.And also Radon information is very interesting, thank you...

I've been to Japan many times but this will be my first visit to Nikko.So hot spring idea after a eleven our flight and two hours train like a dream and thinking about radiation in that dream was like a nightmare...But now I am entirely ok! Thank you..

And I am not gonna drink onsen water..:)

It would be great if you reply my other questions about Nikko which I will ask time to time..
