Hokkaido rail pass except..pls help ..urgent.thks

"JR's Hokkaido Rail Pass. ... Unlimited usage of JR Hokkaido Bus lines, except the lines from Sapporo to Asahikawa, Monbetsu, Obihiro, Kiroro and Erimo."

The website stated above mentioned, so it means only Bus lines from Sapporo to Asahikawa, Monbetsu, Obihiro, Kiroro and Erimo. cannot be used

or it also means

that the JR train from Sapporo to Asahikawa, Monbetsu, Obihiro, Kiroro and Erimo also cannot be used?

or

that the JR train from Sapporo to Asahikawa, Monbetsu, Obihiro, Kiroro and Erimo also can be used but only buses cannot be used?

Anyone can help?

Thanks!

The exception is only referring to bus routes. You can use all of the JR train network.

Above is correct. All JR Hokkaido railway trains can be used. Kiroro is in the mountains about 15-20km away from Otaru city, and is not served by railways. Cape Erimo is a very outlandish part of Hokkaido; the JR goes up to Samani town, and few tourists go there. Asahikawa, Date Mombetsu, Obihiro are well connected by JR Ltd Exp trains to Sapporo (although can be a bit time consuming; see train schedules on hyperdia), and you can use the JR Hokkaido Pass for those travels.

You might post your itinerary for reality check later. Hokkaido is quite vast with population of wild bears and foxes much larger than that of humans in many areas.
