Visiting Kurashiki from Fukuoka?

Hello wonderful travelers!

I am after some advice / guidance on how to get to Kurashiki and how to go about visiting the Brazil Themed amusement park! (they have a pedal powered roller coaster that I would love to try) I am traveling on my own and have never been to Japan!

What is the best way to get there from Fukuoka? A train from Fukuoka to Okayyama then onto Kurashiki?

Should I stay in Okayama or Kurashiki?

I would love any advice or help anyone could give...

Thank you so much

Kate

I've never heard of Brazil themed theme park, but it seems Washuzan Highland Park seems to be the one.

It's near the Seto Ohashi bridge connection that links Honshu with Shikoku. Access is done by train via Okayama to Kojima then taxi, I think.

I have some doubts about the unknown park visiting it from Fukuoka far away (Netherlands themed park in Nagasaki Prefecture is known nationwide), but Kurashiki has something else to see, and known nationwide for the preserved Bikan Chiku area with old townhouses and canals, and Ohara Museum of Art. I suppose you can do the Washuzan theme park in addition to more standard sightseeing around Kurashiki and Okayama.

Hiroshima and Miyajima are major tourist destinations in Japan between Fukuoka and Okayama.

You might also visit the moderately interesting port towns of Tomonoura, Onomichi, Takehara, or Kure on your way back.

Brazilian Park · Wasyu-yama Highland Park

303-1 Shimotsui fukiage ,Kurashiki -city

You go to Kojima Station from Okayama Station Seto-ohashi line.

Please check the timetable here.

Shimotsui bound for Kojima Station No.4 bus stop

Alternatively, you can go (tokohai gou,とこはい号) in the cyclic bus.

Please get off at Wasyu-yama Highland Park amusement park before(wasyu-yama hairando pa-ku yuuenchi mae,鷲羽山ハイランドパーク遊園地前).

There seems to be invisible parts homepage.

Not ever been here I am, but because it was featured in the famous variety show in Japan, I have seen people who are listed in this website.

I think better to stay in Okayama is it useful to you.

Station building of Okayama station was quite useful.
