Best time to visit Nagoya between June-October?

Hi,

It is our first time to visit Nagoya and we are free anytime from June to October of this year. Can anyone suggest which month is the best time to visit? We like cool weather. What are the must see places in Nagoya?

Thank you very much.

Late October, when all the autumn leaves are turning.

If you like cool weather, late October is the only choice. Why are you going to Nagoya? There is not much to see/do there. Kansai and/or Tokyo is much better.

You'll not see autumn leaves until mid-late November these days.

Philippine Airlines is having a two day sale starting Monday and the only choices are Manila going to Tokyo, Nagoya, or Fukouka. We have seen Tokyo and I know Fukouka is industrial. So you think we should just go to Tokyo? I really would love to see Kyoto.

Kyoto is only one hour away from Nagoya by the Shinkansen. I guess you can fly in/out of Nagoya and base yourself in Kyoto. Kansai area offers so much to see and do, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Himeji to just name a few.

There isn't much to see if you are going to base yourself in Nagoya. The most interesting sight is probably the Toyota Factory tour, a little more than one hour outside Nagoya. If you do the tour, combine it as a one day trip with Nagoya as the plan for the day.

Nagoya offers convenient access to Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Hida area and Kanazawa. These areas can take 3 to 4 days to see even if you don't linger. If you have enough time overall, You can do a loop starting at Nagoya, then to Takayama/Hida, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa and then to Kyoto, etc.

As noted, October is the best choice if you want cool weather. Summers are hot and muggy in Japan.

Wow, thank you all for the suggestions. I think that is a good idea to fly in and out of Nagoya(if that is the only sale fare we can get), but stay in Kyoto. I would really love to see that place. Thanks again.
