Travel to Aqaba in Ramadan

My wife and I want to spend almsot two weeks chilling out in Aqaba at the Interconti in a club room.

My only concerns were: it will be Ramadan and also I hear it will still be pretty hot mid-September when we wish to visit.

Can we still drink alcohol in the hotel during Ramadan and are there any other rules re: eating and drinking we should be aware of? I want to make sure we observe the local customs and not upset anyone!

I went to Jordan 2 yrs ago and happen to be in Amman right now. You can drink in the hotels during Ramadan but they do not offer alcohol at the restaurants in town during Ramadan. Just FYI, 2 weeks seems like a very long time to spent in Aqaba. If I were you I would split the time between Aqaba and the Dead Sea and/or Petra. The best hotel at Petra and Dead Sea is the Movenpik. Enjoy Jordan. It's a fun country to visit. Have fun! --Wendy
