Anti-malarial drugs

Will be in Kruger/Sabi Sands then Livingstone/VF the middle of May. Since the temperatures will be cooler, I'm hoping the mosquitoes won't be bad so we can avoid taking an anti-malarial drug. The side effects sound awful. Any thoughts? Thanks....

Malarone is an excellent antimalarial and it comes in a pediatric dosage form. It is prescribed on a weight basis for kids. Your doctor can prescribe the necessary amount.

Malaria is curable if diagnosed and treated promptly and correctly. Of course, much better to prevent than treat.
