Vietnam- Da nang, Hoi Ann, Hue

We plan to travel to Da Nang in July. We have 6 days and don't want it to be too hectic.

Can you suggest an itinerary including Hue and Hoi Ann inclduing ideas for transport between places. We prefer nature to museums. Thanks

Hey rkgough

Are you coming from HCMC or Hanoi?? If so you should fly directly to Hue and work your way south, which saves time and backtracking. As Drifter said, make sure that you do the train leg from Hue to Danang via the Hai van pass, amazing.

Hey again rkgough

You need at least 2 full days in Hue to see the tombs, citadel etc... and get the feel of this place.

The train from Hue to Danang is amazing and for $4 a seat is prob the best value scenic leg in Vn. You could then spend 4 nights in beautiful Hoi an or stay a night in Danang and see what the city has to offer.

Good luck, Mark

Looks the goods :-) The train is a great budget option but if you can afford the private transfer, happy days!

just a tip for My son. Leave Hoi an early, no later than 8am. It takes about 1 1/4 hours but try to get ther for the first Cham dancer show in the pavillion around 9.30 am. Mesmerising. Enjoy :-)
