Taking pictures inside temples and pagodes

How are the regulations for taking pictures inside temples and pagodes?My husband is an eager amateur photographer, but he will not use flash inside.Certainly, we must obey the rules

Trun,

I've had no problems taking photos inside but some of the temples are very dark so he may have to use flash and that was not a problem. Just take your shoes off when appropriate.

My wife is a prof at Hue U and she has a 'thing' about pagodas and the like. Another book, I suspect.

She cannot pass a pagoda without fully documenting each one - particularly the Feng Shui elements of each.

I now leave her, in her own car, to do her thing whilst I look for a nearby 333 (beer).

Her technique is to look for a monk, or similar, and gain consent and then 'light' the place.As Drifter observed - showing appropriate decorum in behaviour and dress is expected - after all they are religious edifices.

You should have someone (hotel staff) write a suitable expression on a piece of paper and then you can seek permission if there is someone in charge.

A small donation in the collection box would also be appreciated.
