HI Angela S,

Hoi An is a very small town (it is a city now but the central downtown is still the same). Don't stay fixed in any one place. After your compulsory dinner at hotel, wander around and surely you will find many places that you want to stop by and join them. The local people celebrate their Tet cozily and welcome any one especially those who come from far. Coffee shops, restaurants are still open overnight on the Tet Eve. Find some coffee shops/bars/ restaurants (for coffee only) along Thu Bon river and enjoy your time there. Again surely you can have parties and congregate with many other partners/friends/...there.

Have a good time!

The OP is asking about New Year's Eve, not Tet.

There are loads of bars & restaurants on both sides of the river in Hoi An so you'll be spoilt for choice - just follow your nose/ears and you're sure to find a party. I particularly like White Marble wine bar.

Hi, I've answered the same question before :)

From 20:00 Instrumental play, contemporary dance at An Hội Roundabout

21:30 – 23:50: Fashion show and art performance at Crossroad (Lê Lợi-Nguyễn Thái Học st.).

00:05 - 1:00: Street dance and masquerade at Lê Lợi st. and Nguyễn Thái Học st.

If you can, it's worth heading in to town for the fireworks over the river at midnight. You will find most of the bars and restaurants will still be open - Nguyen Thai Hoc - near the bridge over to An Hoi has a couple of options (backpackers tend to head over to An Hoi). White Marble, The Dive Bar and Q Bar are all good central options. A bit noisier - Before and Now on Le Loi. A popular expat spot would be 3 Dragons by the river on Phan Boi Chau. Everyone forgets the beach, but Banyan Bar on An Bang beach are holding a big party.
