Hoi An Marina Resort & Spa and other options

Hi all,

My wife and I are heading to Hoi An for 4 nights in mid May. This was going to be our 'beach break' part of our trip (we are not going to Nha Trang).

Originally we were thinking of staying at Victoria or Palm Gardens but through a bit of research saw a lot of people suggesting to stay in the town for better access, maybe Life Heritage.

Now we are not quite sure where to stay - although I'm sure any of the above choices will be fine.

Also just stumbled upon the Hoi An Marina Resort & Spa and was wondering if anyone could comment on how 'finished' this new resort is and how it should be looking in May.

Any other thoughts about Beach vs town would be great as well. We would be keen for a bit of down time, but would probably still want to head into town twice a day for lunch/sightseeing and again for dinner/drinks.

Thanks to all in advance.

Matt

Hi, The Marina is stunning and they have some great offers, staff are lovely and it was completed recently so you are safe to book, if you get a deal at this resort it represents incredible value.

So many people ask the Beach/Town question and it really does depend on what you like to do, May is hot but one of the most beautiful times to visit, the paddie fields are emerald green and all the spring flowers are out, humidity is low.

The beach is approximately 5kms from town (An Bang less, Cua Dai more), so its not difficult to get between the two. At the Victoria you are only a short distance from Cua Dai Road which has loads of restaurants (not quite the level you get in town) but you wouldn't be stranded with no choice but to dine in.

If you think you are going to be going in to town twice a day you are probably better off at the Marina.

Hi, we stayed at life heritage resort last July & loved it. We also stayed at hoi an beach resort which was fine but not as nice as life heritage, most likely as it is so big. We plan on going back this July & will definitely go back to life heritage but like you, we have seen the Marina one & like the look of it so we will probably do time at both of them, problem solved!

Thanks for the replies. We booked Marina Resort and got a good rate. I will post back here after our stay in May.

Cheers,

Matt
