I read many reviews about Hoi An Tailors but still don't know their price range? Could anyone advise good tailors with competitive price? Yaly Couture, A Dong Silk & Thu Thuy are very good tailors but seem to be more expensive than others.

I can recommend you to go to Tuong Lai Future at 586 Cua Dai Road in Hoi An. They are well recommended and they charge reasonable prices for the clothes they make. For their high quality and services they belong to the top of all Hoi An tailors.
Fill in their name or address in the search option on this website and you will find all the positive recommendations.
They even have a pick-up service if you have problems finding their shop.
Have a great time in Vietnam and if you visit their shop don’t forget to say HI from Hans Yen and Kimberly from Holland.

We have some clothes made at Asian Tailor (didn't remember the address but it's next to ACBank on Cua Dai Street.) which was recommended by Green Field Hotel's staff. We had 4 dresses at US$25 each and they were all perfect. You can have shoes and boot made here too.
It's too expensive if you take time to have look Yaly or Thu Thuy. I don't think they are more PERFECT!
Just back from Hoi An. We visited quite a few tailors on the first afternoon, yes Yaly has very smart premises and well set up however, although pleased with the coat they made me I did have to go back twice for fittings a bit of a hassle in the heat etc. It cost me $70.00 Aust. On the other hand other family members had cloths made elsewhere, cheaper and without 2 fittings. I must put Tuong Lai Future on top of the list, they were very nice not pushy and well priced. My son had a wool coat made there perfect fit first time $35.00. My daughter had a dress made for her 21st birthday great!
It's part of the experience tripping around I suppose but I wouldn't waste too much time as the above are excellent.
We were there in September and had about $500 worth of clothes made from Tuong Lai Future. My son had his gradutation suit made for $70US which he has just worn and had so many comments, my husband had a suit made, different material $80, lots of shorts, long pants, shirts, blouses etc made for between $11 - $20. Dresses $20, ladies winter jacket $35.00. The owner of the shop went out of her way on all occassions and they were so easy to deal with, highly recommend.
Have fun, Hoi An is beautiful.
Carol.
I used 5 tailors to make me 13 pieces. I've written a bit of a review of the experience in this thread: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g298082-i9204-k3092814-Hoi_An_Tailoring_recommendations_for_Plus_Sized_Ladies-Hoi_An.html
You can stop by at 02 Le Loi street shop Tai. A little tiny shop in front road but they do have a much bigger aircon showroom in right back. The price is very reasonable here.
Cheers.
Yes I would have to put in a vote for Tuong Lai Future tailors - winter coats - stylish and just right first time - $45...linen shirts - copied from my own - $15 + dresses made for my 10 yo daughter who wasn't with us but we had a few measurements - she loves them!!! They just seem to understand what you want and all garments were pretty spot on first time.
