Too cold, too wet in December?

We're booking a holiday to Vietnam in December and are looking at spending 7 nights in Hoi An. Had planned at staying at the beach (Palm Garden) but now I'm worried it's going to be too wet and/or too cold.

Please...can anyone help us out....

Hi Brossie,

You're right. In December, it's very wet and cold in HoiAn. From March - September, it's great to hang out on the beach in Central Vietnam/

Thanks for visiting Vietnam.

Cold is a relative term. We were in Vietnam last Dec (Saigon & Mui Ne) and it's still hot. At day break and at night, it was very pleasant - around low 60 F (or low 20 C), but during the day it climbed to 85+ F (30 C). In addition, November thru April, is the dry season in Vietnam; you might get occasional rain shower, but it's not in the same frequency as April - October.
