If you are not able to travel 8hrs by Road, then you will take a flight to Kihihi airfield and the car will pick you to the trekking site (Buhoma) the closest .

So when you talk of Apes tour i generalize (Gorillas in Bwindi and Chimpanzee in Kibale)

Day 1. Fly to Kihihi Overnight

Day 2 Gorilla trek

afternoon transfer to Kibale , overnight Fort Portal because time won't allow you reach Kibale for an overnight

Day3. Chimps trek Kibale , Overnight Kibale

Day 4. Transfer to Entebbe , optional :

a) by air through Kasese airfield

b) By Road (8hrs drive) .

3pm - 6pm visit Kalinzu forest for Chimps

Overnight

Day 2: Kyambura Gorge 8am Chimpanzee tracking and afternoon either travel to Bwindi or Kibale forest

Day 3: Either gorilla tracking in Bwindi / Or Kibale forest Chimpanzee Habituation or tracking and afternoon other primates walk in bigodi swamp.

Four Days apes tour will be very great considering two parks Bwindi for Gorillas and Kibale for Chimps but because of distance my option which i did with my friend was

Day One Transfer to Bwindi over night trekkers Tarvan cottages

Day two Trek Gorillas over night trekkers Tervan cottages

Day three Drive to Queen via ishasha for tree climbing lions and afternoon boat in Kazinga

Day four Morning Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura

We paid 1320$ per person and we were two using www.tourlanduganda.com
