Help with summer holiday itinerary

Hello - I've just started looking at our potential summer holiday plans and I could use some help as we have never been to Turkey. Thinking about 5 or 6 nights at Lykia World (we have two kids and this came highly recommended for families. Any feedback on the resort??) From there, I was considering a ferry to Rhodes for a couple nights, then Kos for a couple nights, and finally taking a boat to Bodrum for 3 or 4 nights. Is this itinerary feasible/reasonable? We have been to Greece the past few summers but really looking to see some new places this time around. Any feedback that you have on ferries and getting around would be extremely helpful..... Thanks!!

There's a heck of a lot to see and do within a fairly small radius of Fethiye to keep you occupied for a couple of weeks.

If it were me and I only had a couple of weeks I'd find a base, and make the most of what this area of outstanding natural beauty has to offer.

Rhodes will be very busy, there aren't that many roads. It's somewhere I'd go out of the main summer season. If you do go there though, the art-decor island of Simi is a very nice day trip by boat.

That's a hell of a lot to cram in ,half the holiday will be actually travelling.I have been to several tourist areas in Turkey, the Fethiye area is by far the best ,would not bother with travelling anywhere else for the period of time you are indicating, there is loads of places to visit and even stay within a hours distance. For a start you have Fetihiye ,Olu Deniz with the Lagoon,Hisaronu a lively mountain Village,Calis a nearby beach resort and Kakoy the deserted mountain Greek village. All of these are within 10 miles radius. We you chose to stay and base yourself depends ,but sounds like you like a variety ,Lykia world is a huge holiday complex, where you tend to stay put, would not be my choice if I wanted to explore the area.

Yes, you can easily do all of that. Here's a ferry company for the Rhodes-Kos trip - www.12ne.gr/en/itin_search.asp?pageID=135

I agree with others, the Fethiye area is a wonderful place with so much to see and do. If you stay at Lykia world you are in a big complex with lots of other tourists and with AI you will not want to leave, so my advice would be get an Hotel in the Fethiye area and see the real Turkey. Have a day trip to Rhodes if you must. I think you will find Turkey quite a lot cheaper than Greece and a wonderful experience.
