You said your Hotel was not as good this year! Snap, neither was ours, The Rainbow. We like you have stayed at the Rainbow before and have been quite satisfied but September 2006 was a disaster. We would not stay there again. Like you we had to ask for room service such as changing bed linen and also for the room to be cleaned. The staff were very friendly but that was not enough. We had to ask for the hot water to be put on and in the evenings we had to phone down to reception to ask them to put stairway lighting on.
BA Flights are good at the moment. If you book a night flight back you don't have that six hour wait at Gatwick. Why don't you look into getting an apartment instead of going into an Hotel surely the boys from the Sultana Bar will pick you up at the Airport.
The Sultana Bar won't be the same without you, all your lovely friends you've made over the years will miss you.
