Boring Question: but travel reality

I have never had difficulty finding laundries or laundromats in various cities/countries - and I read that such is readily available in many cities in Turkey (and in many of the hotels).

I am unable to determine, however, if and/or where, there might be such a handy option in Cappadocia. We are staying in the Taskonaklar Hotel and have been unable to find out if they have any laundry service. i expect high prices in a hotel - but sometimes, it's worth it.

Any help to keep us clean would be welcome.....

I never found a laundry or a self service Laundromat in Cappadocia (was looking for one). What I found out was the bigger hotels do it but expensive. The best I found was (did not use it) the backpacker type lodging have a washer and dryer. My guess is you have to stay but don't know for sure. On our last day, at the hotel we stayed at, found that they had a terrace upstairs with a clothes line (and full of sunlight) for those that want to dry them.

Oh, too bad. Maybe we should take paper clothes and toss them along the way ? Thanks Kingwood. Anyone else ?

Most hotels offer laundry service for 15-20 TL per load. There is also now a laundry service open to everyone (close to the post office) but the price is the same.

I agree with Mia's comments . If you send your hotel and email they can answer your question for you..and yes many smaller boutique hotels offer laundry service for a small fee. like what Mia has mentioned about 20 liras per load.

Thank you Mia and Canmom, this is helpful.

I actually did e mail my hotel early last week to ask this minor question - it is only as I did not receive an answer that I posted the question more generally here. And I appreciate your reponses.
