Hi, Ortahisar was one of our last stops in Cappadocia. We took a left away from the main stores/entrance to the castle and wandered up the street of what must be the official unofficial tour guide of the castle area--an older gentleman sitting on a bench in front of his house. As soon as we turned the corner, we heard, "hello, francais?"
He took us all around to show us the best views. We met his wife and they showed us lots of pictures they've taken with other tourists, whom I presume have also wandered past his house.
I'm just wondering if any DE's know his story? He was very pleasant. Even my husband, who is normally very standoffish, was touched with his pleasantness.
