Euro or Lira

I know this has been asked on here but there are conflicting answers. Is it best to take Euro or Lira ?

If all menus are in Euro how do they convert to Lira and at what rate ?

1. Re: Euro or Lira

you get more for your money if you use lira. The restaurants are priced in both lira and euro and on a very broad conversion you get around 2.75 lira to the pound and 2.10 euro. I have been going to Side for about 6 years now and always use lira. Also you will get a better rate if you change your money in Turkey at a post office or bank not a bearue de change Change a small amount for your first couple of days then change the rest in Side.
