family hotel

I am totally stuck. Looking for family hotel with heaps for kids. Prefer close to airport if possible. Dont want to pay a fortune as some of Lara hotels very expensive. Have booked flights for Oct. Seen a few in Alanya but prefer closer. Any suggestions? Want All Inclusive.

hi again Deb,

since I already answered your question here;

tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g297962-i772-k61…

have you looked at Side ?? or Kemer ? both are about 1 hr from Antalya..and as you probalby already know the hotels in Lara are going to be the closest.

another possiblity could be Belek but I think Side would be a better choice..

sorry just read from the other post you have already been to Side..oops.. :=)) as I wrote in my other post does it have to be an all-inclusive.

since you already have flights..family accommodations in say Cirali could be around 500 GBP's for a weeks accommodations with bed and breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children

when in Cirali you will want to ;

1. spend time on the beach

2. visit the vast hidden ruins of Olympos ( which to see many of them properly you will need at least 2 afternoons or 2 mornings ) then spend the rest of the day at the beach

3. take a trip at night to the chimaera ( Yanartaş )..but dont do that on the same day that you visit the Olympos ruins as you will be tired from walking at it is too much in one day..

4. half day for Phaselis ( ruins and beach ) then stop off maybe at Ulupinar on the way back.

5. there are also lovely out of the way places like Kuzdere or Goynuk canyons where you can swim in the icy waterfalls and take a picnic lunch..again at least more than a good part of the day. Or the waterfalls at Ulupinar.

6. Arykanda is a great historical place to visit and is 1.5 hours from Cirali..

7. a boat trip from the beach at Cirali to visit the many hidden coves and beaches..great trip with lunch on the boat..this is an all day trip.

8. many people take a day trip to Demre, Myra and the sunken city of Simena ( Kekova - Ucagiz ) for a day trip from Cirali..

9. during the spring and fall not over the hotter summer months..the weather is nice enough for walking along sections of the Lycian way

10. rent a car for a few days trips around the area. There is a Dino park in Goynuk, Aerial park ( rope climbing etc ) , Antalya Aquarium and many more..

To have an active holiday in Cirali with lots of sightseeing better to rent a car.

ok here are some other thoughts why not try the Konyaaltı beach area instead of Lara beach..there are 5 star all-,inclusive hotels there too. Sealife Family Resort Hotel , Crowne Plaza Hotel Antalya, Porto Bello Hotel Resort & Spa, or Harrington Park Resort

or another thought try maybe the resorts in Goynuk or Kiris as they would be about a 45 minute drive from antalya.

Hi,

After quite a lot of research we've booked the Paloma Grida Village and Spa in Belek for this summer as it is good value for an 5* AI, has loads for the kids inc water park, kids club, games room etc and is only 45 mins from the airport, and 10 mins walk to Belek town. If you check out the reviews the only thing that people moan about are dated rooms, but it is currently undergoing a major refurb of all rooms and public areas this winter, and reopens in April. They have family rooms, some swim up (although they're pricey.) The Thomas Cook website shows planned appearance pics as well as original ones.

We have been to another Paloma hotel and were impressed so have high hopes for this one!

Might be worth a look for you.

Em
