Buses from Adiyaman to Gaziantep

Are there any scheduled buses? If so, where can I get a schedule?

Thanks,

Jane

Thank you for that prompt response. My husband and I would like to fly to Adiyaman to visit Nenrut Dagi and some of the places close by, then take a bus to Gaziantep, and then take a taxi from Gaziantep to Aleppo. We'll probably spend a week in Turkey (we visited western Turkey several years ago and loved it) and a week in Syria.

Do you have any itinerary suggestions?

If you have the time try to include Urfa into your itinery and whilst there a visit to Harran.Urfa is a wonderful old city with an amazing history. You can then either take a bus to Antep and continue or cross into Syria from Urfa. The journey from Nemrut to Urfa is straight forward and involves both bus and ferry over the resevoir so interesting too.

A taxi to Aleppo will be quite expensive(not sure how much but it is a long way)there are regular buses crossing every day so you could enquire about them on arrival in Urfa or Antep before deciding on a taxi.

You could also consider going from Antep down to Antakya and crossing over there too.

Also be aware(although you may already know)that you need to arrange your Syrian visa before you travel at your nearest Syrian embassy. This can take some time so don't leave it too late.

Having visited western Turkey you will be astonished at the differences between east and west-the landscape, the people, culture, food, everything. It really is lovely, enjoy☺
